Depression

Depression is common, yet often misunderstood.  Over 264 million people suffer from depression worldwide. This could be much higher, as it does not include those who suffer from it, but have not been diagnosed. So please understand that you are not alone.

Depression can manifest mentally, emotionally and physically. While the causes of depression are unknown, there could be a predisposition that runs in families, it can be triggered by trauma, seasonal changes and adverse life circumstances.

Depression is characterized by prolonged emotional symptoms which could include the following:

  • Apathy
  • Sadness
  • Guilt
  • Change in eating habits
  • Exhaustion
  • Irritability

You do not have to suffer in silence any longer. Therapeutic models consist of uncovering root issues, transparent conversations about what may drive your depression, and creating strategies for new ways of living a healthier life. The goal is to equip you to understand your depression, create a more positive life experience, and then emerge into a the healthiest version of yourself.
